He is also survived by sisters-in-law Linda (Rene) Garrow, Nancy (Rene) Spencer, brothers-in-law Bill (Lorrie) Clemmens, Bob (Gale) Clemmens and many nieces and nephews.
Peach was predeceased by his parents Mike & Irene Gan, sister Diane (Lew) Marston, sister-in-law Terry Gan, in-laws Hugh & Lil Clemmens, daughter-in-law Jodi & nephew Brian Clemmens.
He started his career in 1965 at the O&M pulp & paper mill & retired from Abitibi in 2002 as a crane operator.
Peachy was a devoted & loving husband, father & the best Gido ever to his grandchildren. He took great pride in his step-sons & grandchildren & lent his support, guidance & humor to all.
During his retirement years, he devoted his time to gardening & yard work, taking great pride in our vegetable yield & flower gardens. Many winters were spent in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where many new friendships were made & maintained. We also spent another few years in Lakeland & enjoyed our time there as well. In later years he fought a long & difficult battle with COPD & heart failure, which has kept him mostly at home over the past few years.
Special thanks to those who visited & called throughout those many years. We so appreciate you. Extra special thanks & love to Mike for the steady home visits, the wonderful care & compassion & concern he showed to both of us. He made this journey so much easier for both of us. Thanks to Char for her kindness & compassion, to Cory at Brown Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in his memory to the LWDH, would be greatly appreciated.
PEACE, DEEP PEACE.
