It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Roszena (Zena) Thelma Cameron. Zena was gifted with the joys of being a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt during her life here on earth.
Zena spent her life enjoying the splendours of life in her home community (Wabaseemoong) where she spent her time devoted to her family and friends. Her overflowing love for her children and grandchildren was witnessed by everybody in her life. Her childhood was spent with her cousins who were like her sisters Kayla, Tobi (Chubby Toes) and Edna (Eddy Balls) and as she began to step into adulthood and became the woman we came to know her as, she was often spending her time with her loving family enjoying shore lunch fish fry’s to feed her little ones, putting all her effort into making sure every holiday was a complete success simply enjoying life to the fullest.
Her favourite pastimes included solving her puzzles and figuring out the answers to every sudoku she could get her hands on. She often engaged in her love for murder mysteries, ghost stories and suspense thrillers with her family. Included in her plans with family was her commitment to her ‘Sunday Dinners’ where she enjoyed planning and spent intimate moments time with her family and friends.
Zena was an out-going and independent person through-out her whole life and during those early years she shared her love for people by working in both the education and health fields within her community. Zena was an amazingly loving human being. She always let everybody know how much she loved them whenever she got the chance. Her “I love you‘s" will ring forever in her family’s and friend’s hearts. Her family was her pride and joy, she took enormous pride in her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Showering them with her love every day doing her very best to make sure they felt her love. She had that special spark that her Kookum Olive had. Making sure to love every aspect of the person.
