

Sammy (Ida) Gray
Sammy passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home.
She was born in Calgary to John and Ida Brown on March 1st, 1934.
She is survived by her husband Bob and children Sandy (Susan), Glenn, and Janice (Tim) Routledge, as well as four grandchildren: Dan and Megan Gray, Tyler and Teagan Routledge.
Sammy and Bob married in 1955 and after many moves settled in Kenora in 1973. Sammy enrolled in the RNA program in 1980 and after graduation in 1981 spent 13 years working at the Lake of the Woods Hospital. After retirement in 1994, she especially enjoyed winters in Arizona and summers at the family camp on Tannis Lake,

Sammy had many struggles in her final years and we would also like to extend a thank you to the people and the agencies that assisted in her care. Everyone’s caring and kindness with Sammy was much appreciated by her family.
If friends so desire, memorial contributions made to It’s a Dog’s Life or The Cat Shelter would be appreciated by the family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Knox United Church on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Cheryl Kinney-Matheson officiating.
