Shirley Marie Peloquin

November 21, 1950 – January 1, 2017

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Marie Peloquin. Heaven has acquired another angel!

She will be welcomed with open arms by her parents, Adella and Andrew, brothers, George and Donald, sister Linda Adamson, brothers in-law Bob Adamson and Bruce Langdon and nephew Ryan Adamson.

Cherishing many happy memories are her siblings Doreen Langdon, Carol (Bob) Saelens, Pat (Dennis) Todoschuk, Gary, Brian (Karen), Deanna (Wayne) Dokuchie, David (Lisa) and sister in-law Cyndy. Many nieces, nephews and cousins will remember her infectious laugh and her sweet disposition. For the last several years Shirley was very fortunate to find a life sharing caregiver complete with extended family and will be greatly missed by Janie, Shelley, Camille, Brenlee and their families.

Shirley was born and raised in Kenora and attended Mount Carmel and Beaver Brae Schools. She was employed for many years at Perth’s Cleaners. Shirley loved watching TV and was a devoted Golden Girls and Young and the Restless fan. Dancing and listening to music were also some of her favorite things to do. Some of her hobbies included swimming, reading and playing cards, by her rules – she always won! She was lucky to have the opportunity to travel and visited every province between BC and Quebec. She loved a good party, and spending time with family and friends always made her happy. She enjoyed joking around with people, laughing and could put a smile on anyone’s face. She was very special to many people.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 1:00 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Interment will follow in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Special Olympics or a charity of one’s choice.
