Vaino is survived by Marjorie, wife of 51 years, son Carl (Patricia), sister in law Gloria Jarva (Arthur) and brother in law Raymond Wilson (Ruth) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Arvid, Mother Ida and Father Otto. Also, by his sisters Viena, Aili, Lily and brother Felix.
Vaino was born in Dryden, Ontario and lived in Quibel till 1958 when the family moved to Vermilion Bay. After spending four years in the army, Vaino continued to expand his skills in his passion of carpentry work. Vaino and Marjorie moved to Kenora in 1960, where Vaino continued to grow his business as a carpenter for 39+ years.
Vaino enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping were some of the things he enjoyed sharing with his family. Vaino also enjoyed spending time in his garden and puttering in the yard.
Cremation has taken place with interment to follow at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery on May 5, 2012.
