Viola Mandamin

Viola Mandamin was born in Iskatewizaagegan #39, Ontario on May 3, 1945, and passed away February 13, 2026, in her home community of Iskatewizaagegan #39 with her daughters Isabel and Patricia Mandamin by her side.

She was predeceased by her mother May Mandamin and her father James Mandamin, her grandparents Beatrice and Jim Williams. Also predeceased by her siblings; Jimmie, Ronnie, Ralph, Gladys, Roseanne, Deloris, Phyllis and Ester, her children; Derek, Gloria, Conrad and Desmond.

She is survived by her siblings Marvin (Evaleen), Victor (Irene) and Vicky, her children Cathy, Rhea, Isabel, Patricia, Debbie (Jeff) and Alvena.

Our beloved mom, sister, kookum had cared for many children as she was a caregiver for Shoal Lake #39 services, she enjoyed the outdoors, wild rice picking, blueberry picking, fishing, beading, sewing and crocheting, and made regalia for who needed.

Viola had a kind heart and soul, if you had met her, she would have left a mark in your memory.

A wake service will be held on Monday February 16, 2026, at the Shoal Lake #39 School starting at 1:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday February 16, 2026, starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow. She will be laid to rest at the Shoal Lake #39 Cemetery.
