Irvan Louis Whitaker was born on September 28, 1927, in Fresno CA. and passed away Friday May 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean, brother Donnie and parents.
Irvan will be remembered as a loving family man who enjoyed visits from his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other extended family members. He enjoyed sitting out in front of his country home drivers honked as they passed by. Many will miss seeing him sitting out there.
Irvan leaves behind his children and their spouses, Gail and Ralph McNew of Kerman, Irvan and Kay Whitaker of Bakersfield, Paul and Virgie Whitaker, Bryan Whitaker, Newman and Roberta Whitaker, and Alice and Bob Singh of Kerman. 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Sisters: Dorothy, Betty and Peggy, brothers: Jimmy and Phillip. In-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will beheld at La Paz Chapel at 2983 Tulare St. Fresno on Friday May 13, 2016 at 10:00am. Burial at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
