

Jacob Arny Arnbrister, 68, of Coalinga, CA passed away October 12, 2017 after a brief battle with prostate cancer. Jacob was born to Jacob (Jacko) Arnbrister and Helen Frazier on December 23, 1948 in Madera, CA. He joined the Army Sept 15, 1966 and served in Vietnam from 1967- 1969 as part of the 82nd Airborne Paratrooper. He was a Helicopter Repairman, Aircraft Engine Mechanic and Crew Chief. He promoted to Sergeant and transferred out to the Army Reserves upon returning home and retired Sept 14, 1972. After returning from Vietnam, Jacob married Ramona Ballard. They welcomed their sons, Jacob Kevin Arnbrister in Aug 1970 and Aaron William Arnbrister in Sept 1973. He introduced the boys into welding and dirt bikes, which later fueled their passion and careers. Jacob and Ramona later divorced. March 23, 1980, Jacob and Sheryl Kee started dating. Sheryl had a daughter, Shannon Renee Kee, that he lovingly welcomed as his own. Together, they welcomed Jacob Arny Arnbrister II (1984), Janinne Amerette (1987), Jackee Ann (1989) and Kaylley Marrie (1990). Jacob was a welder. At the age of 25 he was the youngest Inspector at Bethel and Trans-Alaska Pipeline. He spent many years chasing pipelines. Once settled back in California he worked out in the Oilfields. He worked for S&W, Merritt, Robert Heely Construction, and many others. He worked at Spreckles Sugar in Mendota as a boiler operator prior to retiring in 2007. Jacob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was often found watching Nascar races, music videos on YouTube, tinkering with small engines and reminiscing the past. He was good humored and very smart. He will be greatly missed. Jacob is survived by his wife Sheryl Kee-Arnbrister, sons Jacob Kevin Arnbrister of Clovis and Aaron William Arnbrister of Kerman, step-daughter Shannon Renee Kee of Coalinga, Daughters Janinne Amerette Alvarado of Lemorre, Jackee Ann Avila of Visalia, Kaylley Marrie Williams of Arizona. He was pre-ceded in death by his mother Helen Arnbrister, father Jacob Arnbrister, and his son Jacob Arny Arnbrister II. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Memorial - Kerman Chapel, Kerman, CA.
