William was a kind-hearted person, loved by many. He was an adventurous soul who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the mountains. Known for his hands of all trades, he also had a passion for barbecuing and board games. A strong family supporter, he was proud of his family and cherished the moments spent with them and his friends. William was also fond of his "cb" radio, where he was known as "Little Russian."
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Debbie Babshoff, and his children: John Babshoff, Billy Babshoff, Manya Alvizo (Gilbert), and Fenya Powell. He also leaves behind his siblings: Manya Kornoff, Jim Babshoff, Gabe Babshoff, and Nadia Tolmachoff. William was preceded in death by his father, Jim Babshoff, his mother, Sarah Babshoff, and his sister, Luba Vinogradoff.
William's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Justin Babshoff (Anzu), Will Babshoff, Alex "Sally" Babshoff, Nicholas Alvizo (Catherine "Cat"), Sylvia Alvizo (Greg), Michael Powell, and Jonathon Powell (Ashley). He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Alaina Powell, Trinity Babshoff, and Libby Alvizo. He leaves behind lifelong friends: Helen Babshoff, Linda Babshoff, Candy Babshoff, and Howard Scruggs.
A visitation will be held at Palm Memorial - Kerman Chapel, located at 538 South Madera Avenue, Kerman, CA 93630, on February 16, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at the same location on February 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706, on February 17, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
Pallbearers honoring William's memory include Howard Scruggs, Gilbert Alvizo, Justin Babshoff, Michael Powell, Jacob Clark and William Babshoff.
William Babshoff will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
