Alice Bridget VanBuskirk (Larsen)

Alice B. VanBuskirk, 93, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor, on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Kimball Cemetery with Father Robert Karnish officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to leave on line condolences for the family. Memorials may be given to the Kimball County Manor. The services for Alice have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Alice Bridget VanBuskirk was born in Newell, Iowa on March 29, 1918, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Mackey) Larsen. She was raised and attended the Catholic High School in Newell, graduating in 1936. She attended 2 years of college and received her teaching degree. Alice was married to Edward Sauter in Iowa. She worked as a homemaker raising her family while her husband worked in construction throughout Nebraska. Alice loved sewing and interior decorating. She enjoyed providing for and taking care of her family and spending time with her friends.

Survivors include her sons Lee (Cheryl) Sauter of Kimball., Lloyd (Diane) Sauter of Las Vegas, NV., Lowell (Elaine) Sauter of Springfield, MO; daughters Nancy (Rich) Hanson of Benson, AZ; sisters Josie (Joe) Fitzpatrick of DesMoines, IA., Margaret Halclom of DesMoines, IA., and Mary (Bill) Frohnen of Vackerville, CA; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Her parents and one brother Joes preceded her in death.
