Daniel Dennis Snyder

Daniel D. Snyder, 49, of Dix, Nebraska, died at his home on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Jim Nichols officiating. Inurnment will be in the Dix Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view the obituary and leave condolences for the family. Memorials have been established to the family. The services for Daniel have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Daniel Dennis Snyder was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on April 8, 1965, the son of Dennis and Anna (Billhimer) Snyder. He moved with his family at an early age to Friend, Nebraska and received his early education there. In 1981 the family moved to Dix and he graduated from the Dix High School in 1984. He attended WNCC and received a degree in diesel mechanics. He moved to Lincoln and worked as a mason the in the construction business. He also worked for Kawasaki on their production line. He moved home to Dix in 2002 due to health problems. While living in the area he worked for local farmers. He studied and received his degree in heavy equipment operations. He retired in 2006 due to ill health. Daniel loved working on cars and was a NASCAR fan. He enjoyed sports and was a Green Bay Packers and Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. He was a friend to everyone and was always quick witted and made many people laugh with his remarks.

Survivors include his mother Anna Snyder of Dix, NE; brothers Allen Snyder of Lincoln, NE., and Gail (Sheila) Snyder also of Lincoln, NE; sister Alice (Chuck) Kutschara of Hay Springs, NE; nephews Jared Kutschara, Jonathan Kutschara, Jacob Snyder, Alex Snyder and Mason Snyder; niece Jesse Kutschara. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Dean Snyder, sister Geri Snyder and his grandparents.
