Born on September 2, 1955, in Chadron, Nebraska to Harriett and Donald Stull, Greg lived a life grounded in faith, family, and service.
Greg graduated from Mullen High School and went on to attend Chadron State College, where he earned his degree in Political Science. It was there that he met the love of his life, Penny Rebein. The two were married on December 28, 1977 and built a beautiful life together, raising four children and creating a legacy rooted in love and devotion.
Greg is survived by his wife, Penny; his children, Nathaniel (Ashley), Sarah, Emily, and Nicholas (Sara); and his ten cherished grandchildren: Mareesa, Haylee, Carson, Addisyn, Macee, Bentley, Hayden, Paisleigh, Kennedie, and Kambree. He was deeply proud of his family and found his greatest joy in being “Papa”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harriett and Donald Stull, and his beloved sister, Sandra, whom he held especially close to his heart.
Early in his career, Greg had the honor of working for Congresswoman Virginia Smith, Congressman Bill Barrett, and later Senator Chuck Hagel, among others. His passion for public service extended beyond his professional work, he was always striving to make a meaningful impact in his community.
For the past 20 years, Greg was employed at George Risk Industries in Kimball, where he served as a line leader and later finished his career in sales. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Outside of work, Greg found immense joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. One of his greatest passions was following his favorite athletes—his grandchildren—to their many activities, rarely missing a game, performance, or event. He also took great pride in tending to his beautiful garden of flowers, a reflection of the care and patience he carried into all areas of his life.
Above all, Greg was a man of deep and abiding faith. He was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he served as Parish Council President and gave generously of his time and heart. His faith guided his life, and he found great purpose in serving his church family and those around him.
Greg will be remembered for his steady presence, his commitment to others, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy of faith, service, and love will continue through all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
