
Lloyd D. Wilson, 67, of Kimball, died at his home in Kimball on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Father Robert Karnish officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in David City, NE. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view the obituary and leave condolences for the family. Memorials have been established to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota. The services for Lloyd have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Lloyd “Dennis” Wilson was born in David City, Nebraska on May 12, 1945, the son of Carl and Angela (Sands) Wilson. He was raised and attended school in David City. He enlisted in the US Navy on February 26, 1963 and honorably served his country until being discharged on July 8, 1966. He moved to Thornton, Colorado for a short time and then moved back to David City where he met and was later married to Theresa Bernt in 1973. Dennis worked for Scribner’s House Moving for several years before enrolling in machinist school at Milford. The family moved to Kimball in 1982. Throughout his life in Kimball, Dennis worked for Harold’s Machine Shop, Accessories Sales, Poly Pipe and Commercial Resins. He was forced to retire in April of 2012 due to ill health. Dennis loved to hunt, fish and work on cars and was capable of designing and making things to fit any job that he was working on. He had a sense of humor and loved joking with family and friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Tracey Wilson of Kimball; son Ryan Wilson of Cheyenne, WY and his children Aiden Drake and Thomas Wilson; daughters Rhiannon Wilson of Cheyenne, WY. and her children Matthew Wilson, Zander and Carissa White, and Lillian Robinson , and Tamara Wilson of Manhattan, NY; grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
