

Ruth E. Saxton, 66, of Kingsley passed away peacefully Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Munson Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born January 27, 1948 in Kingsley to Earl and Theresa (Schaffer) Michels.
Ruth was in the last graduating high school class from St. Mary’s Hannah Catholic School in1967. She retired from Kingsley schools in 2008.
As a mother to three boys, she had to be tough and strong for them, but she loved them more than anything. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her flower garden, watching the birds, and going out with her friends and cousins dancing.
Ruth will be greatly missed by her three boys: Jesse (Kim Kozsyk), Jeff and Becky, and Anthony and Kelly all of Kingsley; 3 grandchildren: Alyssa (Jeremiah Stocker), Kelsey, and Lucas; one great grandson: Xavier; 6 siblings: Linda Michels, Roger and Nancy Michels, Robert and Charmaine Michels, Beverly and Carl Maddox, Elaine Cizek, and Marlene Michels (Randy Billett); many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a brother Gordon Michels and a sister Nancy Novak.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2-4pm at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. A celebration of life service will be held at 4pm also on Sunday at the funeral home.
In leiu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to The Rock of Kingsley, Kingsley Library, or Munson Women’s Cancer Fund.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral home of Kingsley.
