

Ann Flannary, age 71 of Kingsport, TN, entered into eternal rest during the late afternoon hours on October 31, 2015. Ann was born to the late Mr. Houston Leach and Mrs. Ida Potts Leach on October 5, 1944 in Kingsport, TN. Ann resided in Kingsport and she was a dedicated worker to the Times News; where she worked for over 30 years. Ann will be remembered for her loving and caring attitude and for her quickness in playing jokes on her friends and family. She was a strong, independent woman who loved her family and she was a trusted friend to many. Ann is survived by her two daughters, Anita Adkins and husband Allan and Cynthia Castle; one son, Darrell Flannary; one brother, Jim “Uncle Buzzy” Leach; the father of her children and special friend, Mr. B ud Flannary; five grandchildren, Britney, Kayla, Josh, Chris Flannary and Chris Starnes; five great grandchildren, Helen, Lila, Phillix, Bradyn and Kylie; a special friend, Linda Garrett and her daughter Megan; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Houston and Ida Potts Leach; and one sister, Shelby Dyess. The family would like to personally thank all of those who came and visited Ann while she was hospitalized; and a very special thanks to the staff at the Times News. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home for a time of remembrance and celebration of Ann’s life.
