

Barbara Jacqueline Long, 80, greatly blessed, highly favored, imperfect but forgiven child of God, peacefully entered into the Heavenly Kingdom during the early morning hours of Sunday (June 19, 2016) surrounded by her family.
Jackie was born December 13, 1935 to the late Maynard & Polly Quillen in Daniel Boone, VA. Jackie was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church for over 65 years. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Wayland Long; brother, Larry Quillen; and special friend, Anna Francisco. Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Cathy Adkins & husband Keith, Karen Chafin & husband Perry, and Melissa Browder & husband Chris; five grandchildren, Nikisha Sambat, Summer Payton, Dustin Chafin, Maddie Browder, and Mackenzie Browder; four great-grandchildren, Dezmond Chafin, MaLaya Swafford, Keyleigh Payton, and Layla Neal; sister, Ella Ruth Quillen; brother, Bobby Quillen; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday (June 21, 2016) from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Lennis France officiating. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Karen Chafin (2100 Lamont Street Kingsport, TN 37664). Private committal services will be held Wednesday (June 22, 2016) in the Garden of Apostles at East Lawn Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church (c/o Violet Hyatt) (5227 Memorial Blvd. Kingsport, TN 37664).
