He was born September 11, 1936, in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Woodrow and Lillan Bray Stallard. Bobby will be remembered as jack-of-all-trades and hard worker. After retiring from Eastman Chemical Company, Bobby started a landscaping business, and later a firm specializing in tax preparation, which is still operated by his grandchildren. Bobby loved to garden, but above all, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce Sanders and her husband, Tommy. Bobby was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Nicolas Cade Phillips.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Rita Stallard; son, Michael Stallard and wife Barb; daughters, Michelle Ellis and husband Roger and Kristen Phillips. Bobby is also survived by nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at East Lawn Memorial Park’s Garden of the Apostles with Pastor Jeremiah Mooney officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
