Brian Doran, 51 of Mount Carmel, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 31, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Brian was a lot of things in his life—husband, father, son, brother—most importantly though, he was a friend to all. He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. In his time at home he could usually be found in one of two places: in the kitchen cooking up something good to eat or in the garage working on his latest project. He was a handyman to the highest degree and there was never something that was broken that he could not fix.
Brian was employed by Eastman Chemical Company as a pipefitter for 26 years.
Brian was a member of Church Hill First United Methodist Church. Pastor Josh Kilbourne and the congregation played an important part in Brian’s battle over the last few years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Susan Haynie Doran, son, Evan Doran, parents, James and Gwen Doran, sisters, Tina Gibson and husband Barney, Alicia Doran, Nancy Doran, brother Dennis Doran and wife Beth, a special Aunt, Jackie Pearson, mother-in-law, Margaret Haynie, brothers-in-law, Joe Haynie and wife Sherry, John Haynie and wife Judy and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of Brian’s life will follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Josh Kilbourne officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:00am at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Devotion.
Honorary Pallbearers are James Doran, Evan Doran, Dennis Doran, Jamie Dove, Jimmy Gibson, Robbie Young, Andrew Doran, Aaron Doran and Bailey Campbell.
