Mr. Thomas was a resident of Sullivan County most of his life and was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School and attended Northeast Technical Community College. He was born on April 19, 1976. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Thurman R. Thomas and paternal grandparents, James Albert & Nancy Deel Thomas, by maternal grandparents, Ivan R. Rhea and Pet Dollis Sykes Rea. Survivors include one daughter, Summer Brooke Thomas; his mother, Mrs. Wilma Thomas of Kingsport; one sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Sherri Lynne (Terry) Johnson of Ashland, Kentucky; his former wife, Michelle Thomas of Kingsport.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be conducted on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 12 noon from the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in the East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, from 10:00 a.m until service time at the funeral home.
