David Allen Cole, 64, took his angel flight to his heavenly home during the early morning hours of Thursday (November 14, 2019) following an extended illness. David was born on August 8, 1955 in Bristol, VA to the late Clarence Cole and Velvie Arwood.
David was an avid UT and Atlanta Braves fan. He enjoyed music, video games, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend; he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Eugene Cole and Sammy “Rowdy” Cole.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years, Karon Cole; three daughters, Beckey Clanton & husband Joshua, April Cole, and Ginny Phillips; brother, Freddie Doran & wife Wendy; sister, Donna Cole; nine grandchildren, David “Lilman”, Rorri, Emily “Doodles”, J.D., Arili, Tanner, Abbey, Leesa, and Cadence; “fur baby”, Princess; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Service will be held at a later date.
