Deloris G Conant

She was born in Hancock County (Sneedville) TN, on January 20, 1940, and moved to Kingsport in 1951. She was saved at an early age and baptized at Duck Creek Baptist Church. After she moved to Kingsport, she became a member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church. She was a Charter member of Bible Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Higher Ground Baptist Church.

She was a very loving wife and mother and was a devoted Christian who lived her life for the glory of God. She was a very talented artist, musician, and seamstress. She loved to paint and made many crafts and jewelry. She loved to travel and was a member of the Hill Country Camping Club. She was a fabulous cook and made many wonderful dishes and desserts. She loved music and sang in several gospel groups. She was employed by Nettie Lee Ladies shop for several years and later worked for Sullivan County Chancery Court, having retired in 2002.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell Greene; her mother, Nina Lamb; a sister Carol Greene; and her stepfather George Lamb.

Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Billy Conant; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy C and Eddie Dyer, Henderson NV; and her son Tony Conant, Kingsport, TN; a sister, Margorie Harris, Gray, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Leo and Stella Conant; brother-in-law, Lloyd Conant, Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025, at East Lawn Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Kester Bunch officiating and the music provided by Josh and Tanya Greene.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends who will be attending graveside services are to meet at the cemetery at 1:55 PM.
