Donald “Iodine” Bright, age 72, of Blountville, passed away Thursday night August, 2, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. Iodine was loved by many, and spent his final days at home with several special friends by his side. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Addie and William Bright of Kingsport; one sister, Jackie Peterson of St. Petersburg, FL. He is survived by two daughters, Jill Bright and Jennifer Bright of KY; one son, Ronald Bright of NC; two granddaughters; and two very special girls, Hope and Heather Winkle. The family will receive friends Monday, August 6, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Cassidy United Methodist Church.
