
James P. Clark, Jr.
James P. Clark, Jr. age 86 of Kingsport passed away January 12, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
James was born April 26, 1924 in Breckenridge, Texas to parents, James P. Clark, Sr. and Thelma Clark. He has resided in Kingsport since 1968. He was a veteran of The United States Army and was retired from Tennessee Eastman Company since 1981 having served as Fire Captain and Training Officer and was a volunteer training officer for Warriors Path Fire Dept. and served as a fireman in Texas and Kingsport.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amy Marie Long.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Billie Clark, of the home. Daughters, Phyllis Henley, Knoxville and Janice Long and husband John of Kingsport, son, Bill Clark, Church Hill. Nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Sister, Beatrice Workman, Austin, TX. Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 5-7 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel at 7;00 pm with Reverend David Salley, officiating.
