James Andre Venters

He was preceded in death by his father: Jimmy Venters.

James is survived by wife Christy Venters; sons: Andy (Jennifer) Venters; Adam (Lindsay) Venters; Noah (Emily) Venters; Tyler Venters; Phillip (Chayna) Parton; daughter: Jennah Venters Cassell. Grandchildren: Charlie Cassell, Elsie Cassell, Millie Parton, Caleb Scott, Luke Scott, Beau and Rigby Venters. Mother: Cleda Faye Venters and siblings: John (Delia) Venters, Margie Venters, Kathy (Hassin) Dean. And many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Chateauroux Air Force Base, France on October 31, 1964.

His childhood in Indian Springs instilled a lifelong passion for carpentry and he loved to speak about it with anyone who would listen. One of his first jobs was making stained glass and he continued that as a hobby. He was an active dad who was at everything his kids did and supported their passions.

James and Christy first met when their boys were playing baseball. We had a love for family and our kids and we bonded over those important aspects of our lives. We loved spending time together and with family. James always took care of his family and he loved them fiercely. James and Christy spent a lot of time planning projects and trips. They continued to share this throughout their long and happy marriage.

Visitation with his family will be Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 6:00. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2025 at East Lawn Memorial Park.
