Jimmy Allen Light, 62, passed away unexpectedly during the morning hours of Tuesday (January 29, 2019) at his residence. Jimmy was born on December 21, 1956 in Kingsport, TN to Fred & June (Kiser) Light.
Jimmy was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Fred Light, Sr.; wife, Pam Light; and grandson, Connor Bloomquest.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, June Light; daughter, Audria Light; son, Alex Light & wife Robyn; brother, Freddie Light; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wiederhoeft; great-grandaughters, Summar and Scarlett; aunt, Jean Strickler; uncle, Buddy Kiser & wife Sammy; niece, Courtney Nelson & husband Tyler; and their children, Luke and Hadley; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday (February 2, 2019) from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home at 7 p.m. with Dr. Greg Burton officiating.
Jimmy will be laid to rest beside of his beloved wife Sunday (February 3, 2019) at 1 p.m. in the Garden of Apostles at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Light, Jordan Rhoten, William King, Matthew Baker, Brent Baker, and Robbie Fink, Jr.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to his mother, June Light, to help with memorial funds.
