Leo Armstrong, 77, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 14, 1942 in Opp, AL to the late Minnie and Teddy Armstrong.

Leo was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He attended Beulah Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Odom Armstrong and Teddy Bea Armstrong.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Linda Armstrong; daughters, Lisa Hayes and husband Frank and Lynn Hillman and husband Randy; grandchildren, Clint Hillman and wife Sarah, and Alison and Cooper Moore.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of Leo’s life will follow at 7:00 pm with eulogy by Thomas Hillman and officiated by Preacher Al South.

Leo will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Gethsemane.
