Loretta S. Williams, age 94, of Kingsport, went home to be with Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Arbor Terrace Assisted Living in Knoxville. She was a native of Kingsport, TN, the daughter of the late C.Ray and Lucy Stata. She was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Williams was a former employee of the Kingsport Press for many years before becoming co owner and office manager for the Jack Williams Construction Company.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jack Williams; sisters and their husbands; Eunice Stata, Inez Bedford, Lena Hensley and Wilma Kilgore; and her nephews: Steve and Kenny Bedford and Mike Kilgore.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Caruthers, and husband, Mike; grandchildren: Oliva Caruthers and Collin Caruthers, all of Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews and special friend, Linda Couch.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 19 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Kim Isley-Selby officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in East Lawn Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to assemble at the funeral home by 9:45 to go in procession to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
