

Mrs. Hutchins was born in Scott County, Virginia, the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Carter Lemmons. She was a devoted housewife and the oldest living member of the Arcadia Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve J. Hutchins on March 16, 1992;son, David Lynn Hutchins in 1940; and by two great-grandchildren, Cooper Tackeo Chao and Brodrick Swafford; and a sister, Janie Penix. At the time of her death, Mrs. Hutchins was attending the Bible Way Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters Margaret (Edward “Ode”) Wallace of Kingsport, TN, and Eileen Purisima (S.T.) of Monterey Park, CA. one son, Randy (Donna) Hutchins of Kingsport, Tn. ; three grandchildren, Sherry Wallace Bradley, Tracy Chao (Andrew) and Debra Hutchins Winegar, two great-grandchildren, Zachary Chao and Connor Winegar, and her special friend, Eli.; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 noon today until 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home with funeral services to be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with the Pastor Travis Boling. Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Hutchins, Carl Hutchins, Lank Hutchins, Gary Turbyfill, Robbie Runion, Cameron Wyatt, and serving as honorary pallbearers will be Paul Hutchins and Loney Hutchins. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Paralyzed Veterans Assoc. or the charity of one’s choice. The family will also receive friends and family at 201 Rosehaven Court-Colonial Heights. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors on the 3rd and 5th floor ICU units, and the staff of the E.R. at Holston Valley Medical Center.
