Marie McGrady, age 82, entered into rest September 18, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center. She was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina and was a longtime resident of Kingsport. Marie was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy McGrady; her parents, W.A. and Lucy Nunn Seckler; three brothers, Jack, William, Joe Seckler; two sisters, Lucille Bumgardener and Virginia Dare Mitchell. Marie is survived by two sisters-in-law, Eva Seckler of PA and Jo Ann McGrady of Kingsport; the daughter she never had, Jill Yankee; good friends, Brenda Tate and Howard Hudson; caregiver, Shirley Donell; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
