Martin Haynes Gott

Martin Haynes Gott, age 63 of Blountville, TN., passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gott was born in Bristol, TN., and was a resident of Blountville for most of his life. He was a retired employee of Bristol Compressors and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Gott was a member of The Southern Gypsies Ridding Association.

Mr. Gott was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Campbell Gott, and father, Roy H. Gott.

Survivors include his mother, Vina Glover Gott; two daughters , Julie L. Neer of Findlay, Ohio and Stacie N. Gott of Blountville, TN.; four sons, Rick N. Gott of Florence KY.; Russell L. Gott of Crittenden, KY.; Robert A. Gott of Bryson City, NC.; Randall H. Gott of Coeburn, VA.; brothers ,William R. Gott of Bristol, TN. and John L. Gott of Bristol, TN. ; ten grandchildren and five step- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family of Martin Gott will receive friends Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at East Lawn Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Paul Ross officiating. Military graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 25, 2011 at East Lawn Memorial Park by Boone Dam Post # 4933 VFW and members of the TN Army National Guard. Honorary Pallbearers will be his sons, Rick Gott, Russell Gott, Robert Gott and Randall Gott. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be given to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
