Melissa "Lisa" Gaye Ryans

Lisa Gaye Ryans, age 54, of Kingsport, entered into rest on Monday, November 11, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Ryans, was a native of Mercer County, Virginia, and the daughter of the late Phil and Wanda Kress. She had been recently employed by Domtar, formerly Willamette, as a security guard. Lisa was also a caregiver for over 15 years. Mrs. Ryans was a member of Eastern Star Free Will Baptist Church. She loved NASCAR, football, and the Tennessee VOLS.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Larry Ryans; brother, Randy Kress and wife Lisa; sisters: Phyllis Boyer and husband Allan and Dawn Chilson and husband, Tim, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Charlie Church and Pastor Clinton Ramey, officiating. Burial will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden of Gethsemane in East Lawn Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to assemble at the gravesite by 10:45 a.m. for the service. Pallbearers will be Bobby Ryans, Miles Cox, Rick Ferguson, Ken Thompson and Warren Vicars.
