

Michael Wilson “Pudgy” Meade went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2012 at his home, surrounded by those who loved him. He was born on November 8, 1962 and was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Michael graduated from Sullivan Central High School. He was employed as a general mechanic at Eastman Chemical Company. Michael was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting Farmall tractors. He was a wonderful and loving brother, uncle and friend, and will be missed by many.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Maxwell Meade and Helen Richards Meade. Left to cherish his memories are his sister Cathy Meade Johnson, niece Melanie Brooke Johnson; nephews Caleb Louis Johnson and Nicholas Michael-Paul Johnson and a very special lady in his life, Mary Bailey.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits, phone calls, cards and food received during Michael’s illness. A Special Thank You to Welmont Hospice; Susanna, Becky, Christina, Patricia and everyone who helped take care of Michael and our entire family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Powers officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in East Lawn Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 2:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Melanie Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Carson Wilson, Steve Tate, Mike Bowery, Randy Moody and Lenard Dotson.
