Norma Joyce Bacon-Davick, 97, passed away peacefully at her residence on the morning of August 26, 2019. She was born on December 8, 1921 to the late Nell and John Baskette.
She had retired from JC Penny at the Fort Henry Mall where she worked as a Fashion Merchandiser. Norma led an active life by being involved in many different groups. She volunteered at Holston Valley Medical Center, was a member of the Aida Baxter Circle, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Community Outreach Program at Fall Branch United Methodist Church, where she was also a member.
In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husbands, George Bacon and Kelly Davick, and brother Walter Baskette.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Richard Bacon; granddaughter, Lin Stevens and husband Todd; grandson, Jayden Stevens; nephew, Bill Baskette and wife Melissa; nieces, Martha Ollis and Joyce McDermitt and husband Ken; special friends, Jean Dawson and Ella Strickland; and the members of Fall Branch United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends just before the funeral service, which will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at East Lawn Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. David Tully.
Norma will be laid to rest beside her first husband, George Bacon, following the funeral service on Thursday at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of the Apostles.
