Rebecca “Becky” Josephine Hartley, age 83 of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 15, 2025. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born January 15, 1942, in Bristol, Virginia, to the late Eugene Howard and Dollie Mae (Pendergrass) Rosenbalm. She was one of twelve children. Becky married the love of her life, R. B. Hartley August 21, 1959, and they spent 65 loving years together. Becky was a lifelong resident of Blountville and an active member of Key Street Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Dorothy Hinkle, Helen Cole, Edith Taylor, Jane Rouse, Shelby Baumgardner, Pauline Riffey, Jeanette Riffey; and brothers: Charles Rosenbalm, Robert Rosenbalm and infant Eugene Rosenbalm, Jr.
Left to cherish her loving memory are her husband, R.B. Hartley; Son, Rick (Susan) Hartley; Daughter, Sherry (Beau) Morris; Grandchildren: Brittany (Andrew) Jones, Brooke (Nick) Musgrave, Brandon Tinman, Devon Hartley, Amber (Adam) Poole, Ashleigh (Josh) Hughes, Jordan Killebrew, and Tegan Morris; 14 great-grandchildren; Brother, Tommy Rosenbalm; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sharon Clark for the loving care she showed Becky in her last days. Thank you to the kind nurses and staff of Gentiva.
Services will be held at East Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 19, from 12pm-2pm. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm at East Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Devon Hartley, Brandon Tinman, Andrew Jones, Adam Poole, Jordan Killebrew, and Nick Musgrave. Honorary Pallbearer will be Josh Hughes.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Key Street Pentecostal Church.
