

Rena DeBaker, age 78, of Kingsport, TN, entered into rest on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Center on Aging and Health in Erwin, TN. Mrs. DeBaker was a Scott County, Virginia native and the daughter of the late Will and Donnie Dell Crooke Dishner. She became a RN in 1955 and was employeed by Holston Valley Medical Center. She was supervisor of the Med/Surg Unit from 1974 until 1989, and was the house supervisor until her retirement in 1992. Since her retirement, she enjoyed traveling around the country and across the world. Mrs. DeBaker was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene DeBaker; daughters: Regina A. DeBaker-Bonyadi and husband Byron and Deborah R. Tipton and husband Ken; brothers: Carl Dishner, Micheal Dishner and Douglas Dishner; sisters: Norma Bear, Cennea Tipton, Janet Hill and Jennie Chatari; grandchildren: Cyrus J. Bonyadi, Morgan Tipton and Brogun Tipton along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Mass for Mrs. DeBaker will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 2517 John B. Dennis Highway, Kingsport, TN. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Carl Dishner, Micheal Dishner, Byron Bonyadi, Cyrus Bonyadi, Brogun Tipton and Ken Tipton. Honorary Pallbearers are Morgan Tipton and Joshua Johnson.
