

Robert “Bob” Earl Pippin, 73, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Pippin was born on April 12, 1942 in Sullivan County, Tennessee, the son of the late Rex Pippin and Maxie Louise Sexton Pippin. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, was a carpenter having worked with TVA, an avid reader, and an active participant in shooting sports. Mr. Pippin was a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association where he achieved a Master Class Rank. In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by one son, Billy Pippin; brothers, Paul Pippin and Joe Pippin; and uncles Vernoy Sexton, Elmer Sexton, and Robert Sexton.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Kodak and husband Jesse; two sons, Tim Pippin and wife Janine, and Bobby Pippin; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Hunter and Libby Pippin, Cody, Michael, and Brandon Fugate, and Ashley Kodak; former spouse, Dottie Pippin; uncle, Billy Sexton and wife Bessie Lou; aunt Rubye Pennington; nephews, Joey Pippin and Justin Pippin; nieces, Angie Spitler and Lori Graham; and several cousins and special friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 5:00pm until 6:30pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A Memorial Service for Mr. Robert “Bob” Earl Pippin will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 6:30pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with military honors to be rendered by the American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265.
