Sula Mae Kyte

Sula Mae (Conkin) Kyte of Fall Branch, where she lived most of her life passed away on March, 08, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul Conkin and Ethel Conkin. She was the last child of their 9 children, Parelee Murray, Pauline Shaw, Mary Ruth Eastep, Betty Hicks, Gay Vern Coulston, Bobby Sam Conkin, Billy Conkin, Jackie Conkin. She is also preceded in death by her husband Dallas Kyte, son in law Eddie Cochran and grandson Chad Cochran. Sula attended Fall Branch Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.

Sula was a homemaker and caregiver to her family, whom she loved very much. She is survived by both daughters Joann Cochran, Carol and Dennis Horton. Grandchildren Brent (Jeri) Cox, Michelle (Travis) Fugate, Casey Cox, Buffy (Robert) Casey. Great grandchildren Kaleb, Codie, Zachary, Averi, Cheyenne, Michael, Matthew, Cole, Abigail, and Sierra. As well as great great grandchildren Katie, Emerson, and Layla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews

The family would like to offer thanks and gratitude to the staff at Gentiva. As well as a special thank you to her caregiver Judy Cantwell.

Visitation and Services will be held at East Lawn Funeral Home Wednesday March 13, 2024 at 5-7 pm with services are being officiated by Brother John Allen starting at 7. A graveside will take place at East Lawn Memorial Park on Thursday March 14, 2024 at 2pm and will be officiated by Gentiva Chaplain Jeff Hammer and Brother John Allen. Memorial contributions can be made to Fall Branch volunteer Fire Dept. or the charity of one's choice.
