

On Thursday, December 3, 2020, Terri Lalona Garber passed away at her home at 895 Summerville Rd. in Kingsport, TN, at the age of 52. Terri was born on July 15, 1968 in Bristol TN. She was the only daughter of Retired Navy veteran William Terry Williams and Laura Alona Williams. The family was stationed multiple places in the United States, but spent most of their time in the Tri-cities area. She was preceded in death by her brother James Don Berry, along with her parents.
Terri leaves behind a loving husband of 27 years, James Charles Garber of Kingsport, TN. She also leaves behind 3 sons and 1 daughter, Bryan Garber of Johnson City TN, Sean Garber of Kingsport TN, Laura Potter and husband Charles of Erwin TN, and the youngest, William "Logan" Garber of Erwin TN. Terri was "Grammy" to 4 grandchildren including Abagale Wilkerson, Collin Potter, Ellyanna Garber, and Charles "Brennan" Potter. She was Sister-in-law to Melissa Tittle of Bristol, TN. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Terri was a loving wife, daughter, and mother, but above all she was an amazing and loving grandmother. Her babies were what kept her going every day and meant everything to her. She was an amazing friend and always willing to help in any way she could. Terri loved to garden and always loved to care for flowers. White Roses were her signature.
Terri graduated from Daugherty High School in 1986. She was an active duty member of the United States Army as a medic for 2 years and 6 with the Army reserves. She helped mobilize the 912th MASH unit for Dessert Storm. She was also awarded as an expert rifle marksman and for outstanding performance in the Army. She was certified as a medical coder, tax preparer, and for an extended period of time was a certified nursing assistant for home health. She was incredibly dedicated to her patients and extremely loved.
A Celebration of Terri's Life will be held at Fordtown Baptist Church, 444 Old Fordtown Road, Kingsport, TN 37663.
