

Adan “Choré” G. DeLaPaz, age 82, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on June 29, 1928 in Riviera, Texas to Luciano DeLaPaz and Paula Gonzalez DeLaPaz. Adan was a self-employed truck driver with DeLaPaz Trucking Company until his retirement.
Mr. DeLaPaz was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Lazaro DeLaPaz, Eva Gutierrez, Arturo DeLaPaz Sr., Dominga Luera, Anita DeLaPaz, Roberto DeLaPaz Sr. and Eliseo DeLaPaz.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria D. DeLaPaz of Kingsville; three daughters, Rosa Elia (Jesse) Leos, Norma Linda (Noe David) Charles and Cynthia DeLaPaz, all of Kingsville; brother, Mike DeLaPaz of Arizona; four sisters, Estella DeLaPaz and Julia DeLaPaz, both of Kingsville, Herlinda Gonzalez of Brownsville, Texas and Esperanza DeLaPaz of Arizona; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Naul as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jesse Leos, Eliseo Hernandez V, David Charles, Ernesto DeLaPaz, J.D. Charles and Raul DeLaPaz.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
