Angel Gonzales

Angel Gonzales, age 91, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Kingsville. He was born January 11, 1921 in Goliad, Texas to Tranquilino Gonzales and Lorenza Chaves Gonzales. Mr. Gonzales was a rancher/farmer in the Kleberg County area until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death on January 10, 2008 by his beloved wife of 60 years, Francisca Gonzales.

Mr. Gonzales is survived by his son, Angel R. Gonzalez Jr. (Nelda) of Kingsville; one brother, Manuel Gonzales of Ricardo, Texas; one sister, Rosa Tellez of Premont, Texas; one granddaughter, Catalina Morin (Phillip) of Houston, Texas; and one great-grandson, Benjamin James Morin of Houston.

A vigil service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church with Fr. John Chavarria as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
