

Celia Silva, 83, passed away on Friday October 29, 2010 at a nursing home in New Braunfels, Texas. Celia was born on August 18, 1927 to Lorenzo Silva Sr. and Estella Guerra in Corpus Christi, TX and was later raised by her Godparents Augustine and Dominga Quintanilla. She was a housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by her parents, godparents, brothers Lorenzo Silva Sr. and Julian Silva, sisters Leonor Velasquez, Maria Elena Sewell and Antonia Posada and great-grandson Jacob Villarreal. She is survived by her daughters Diana (Israel Sr.) Rodriguez of Kingsville, TX and Andrea (Mike) Jewell of McQueeney, TX, brother Mario Zuniga of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren Raul (Maribel) Villarreal Jr. of League City, TX, Melissa (Andrew) Garcia of Houston, TX, Pricilla (Mario) Zarate of Kingsville, TX and Israel (Rebecca) Rodriguez Jr. of Kingsville, TX. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Ashley, Amanda, Alex, Jose (Jo Jo), Christopher Mario III, Imogen, Brianna, Adam, Jake, Chris and Leslie, sister-in-law Mrs. Julian Silva of California and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday November 3, 2010 at the Turcotte Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 4, 2010 at the Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kingsville, Texas.
Burial will follow at the Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.
