

Curtis H. Roberts, age 80, a resident of Mathis, Texas passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at his residence. He was born on March 2, 1930 in Bauxite, Arkansas to Rev. Harve Roberts and Era Mae Young Roberts. Mr. Roberts was employed with the the Corpus Christi Police Department as a criminal investigator. He was also a justice of the peace and county commissioner of Bee County, Texas. Mr. Roberts, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 1350, A.F. & A.M., Corpus Christi, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Betty J. Roberts of Mathis; two sons, Ricky (Rhonda) Roberts of Corpus Christi, Texas and James (Laura) Menn of Beeville, Texas; two daughters, Cindy (David Hewitt) Freudenberg of Austin, Texas and Kathy (Dewey) Hubert of Riviera, Texas; two brothers, Bryant Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas and Floyd Roberts of Ohio; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Kingsville. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Johnson officiating. Masonic services will follow. Burial will full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
