

Lilia C. Aban, age 71, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on April 28, 1939 in Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines to Jose Corpus and Valentina Maneclang Corpus. Mrs. Aban was a public school substitute teacher for the Kingsville Independent School District. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses English Congregation and Filipino American (Fil-Am) Association.
Mrs. Aban was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Josephine Aban.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Federico A. Aban of Kingsville; son, Frederick C. Aban of Clovis, New Mexico; two daughters, Melinda (Jesus) Marquez of Pearland, Texas and Melina (Michael) Ho of La Palma, California; four sisters, Imelda Torio, Teresita Cudal, Victoria Corpus and Aurora De Guzman, all of the Philippines; and five grandchildren, Emmalee Ying Ho, Sean Michael Ho, Dylan Maxwell Ho, Karina Neveah Marquez and Jerico Elias Marquez.
Public visitation will take place on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.
A funeral discourse will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Doug Hatley officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Guidangen, Edmundo Centeno, Allan Ocariza, Enrico Quitevis, Dario Morandarte, Eliazer Calepe, Edgar Comorto and Reynaldo Barcena.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
