Patsy Ann McFarland Bennett

Patsy Ann Bennett, age 73, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Kingsville. She was born on February 18, 1937 in Jennings, Louisiana to Lee J. McFarland and Edna Mae Hebert McFarland. Mrs. Bennett was employed as an office manager for JCPenney, Kingsville, for 35 years. She was a member of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, Christus Spohn Hospital Auxiliary and Kingsville Woman’s Club.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gerald J. Bennett of Kingsville; son, Robert (Eva) J. Bennett of Kingsville; two daughters, Cindy (Don) McCreary of Corpus Christi, Texas and Cheryl Kirk of Kingsville; two sisters-in-law, Billie Rae McFarland of Mississippi and Jo Ann McFarland of Pleasanton, Texas; and nine grandchildren, Jake Scallorn, Christy Carpenter, Trisha Truxaw, Stephanie Bennett, Ashley Owen, Leslie Ragsdale, Stacey Lamoure, Caitlin Kirk and Tyler Kirk; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church with Fr. Piotr A. Koziel as celebrant.
