Sofia H. Longoria

Sofia H. Longoria, age 84, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 in Kingsville. She was born on September 24, 1925 in Falfurrias, Texas to Jesus Hernandez and Petra Longoria Hernandez. Mrs. Longoria, a homemaker, was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death in 1965 by her beloved husband, Ismael N. Longoria.

Mrs. Longoria is survived by daughter, Maria Leal of Kingsville; son, Juan H. (Yolanda) Longoria of Kingsville; brother, Salvador Hernandez of Falfurrias, Texas; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Romeo Salinas as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Laureles Ranch Cemetery, Kleberg County.
