Prayers will be held in St. Pius R.C. Church, Windthorst, Saskatchewan on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held in St. Pius R.C. Church on Tuesday February 28, 2017 with Rev. Hector Seville officiating. Interment in St. Pius Parish Cemetery.

He was predeceased by his parents and all but one of his siblings.

He is survived by the Love of his life Rita with whom he had just celebrated 69 years of marriage. He is survived by one sibling Kay; sister in-laws Zita Schroeder and Kathy Kapell; brother in-laws Kevin(Marlyne) Kapell and Merk(Dolores) Kapell as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Christian and Rita enjoyed many years of farming before buying a home and retiring in Windthorst. Chris was an avid golfer and fisherman through the years, he and Rita took many trips to Madge Lake to fish and traveled to Yuma in the winters to golf.
