On Friday, September 17, 2010, Melvin Borge, beloved husband of Valerie (Sproat), Kipling, SK. and formerly Brooks, AB., died at the age of 77 years. The funeral service will be held in the Christ Lutheran Church, Kipling, SK., on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Miner officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Brooks AB. at a later date. Predeceased by his father and mother Ole and Minda Borge; father in law and mother in law Gerrond and Ellen Sproat; brother Myer Pedersen and three sisters: Elly Whewell, Gunvor Cheyne and Signe Needham. Mr. Borge is survived by his wife Valerie, two sisters: Milly Henderson and Bertha Bentz; brother in law Lorne (Pat) Sproat as well as his nieces and nephews.
