Bette Murphy, age 81, of Winter Garden, FL formally of Revere Massachusetts, passed away on July 31st 2013. Bette was born January 28th 1932 in Cambridge Massachusetts to Joseph O’Brien and Ethel Smith.
Bette was an active member of MENSA, and enjoyed playing Bingo, gambling and traveling, especially to her favorite place; Ireland. She was also an active member of St. Brendan’s in Dorchester Massachusetts. Bette also enjoyed living in The Palms at Park Place in Kissimmee for the last three years.
She was preceded in death by her loving father Joseph O’Brien and mother Ethel Smith, her late husband Paul Stackpaul Sr. her son Paul Stackpaul Jr. and her sister Jeanne Ryan.
Surviving are her brothers, Lawrence, John and Michael; Her daughter Elizabeth, and her brother Jack O’Brien and sister Barbara Olson. She also had five grandchildren, Samantha, Michael Jr. Lisa, Christopher and Douglas. Bette was also loved by Angelina and six other great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee Florida. The services have been entrusted to Grissom Funeral Home in Kissimmee.
