In Loving Memory of Claude Ronald Smith, who was met by our Good Lord on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, at the age of 81 in Kissimmee, FL. He lived a life marked by intellect, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit.
From an early age, Claude demonstrated both academic and athletic excellence and was a gifted pianist. He graduated from St. Aloysius Academy; Received a bachelor’s degree in Science at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York; and earned his MBA from the University of Kentucky. He began his professional career with IBM, joining Citibank in New York City. His career led him abroad living in London, where he managed the International Money Transfer function of Citicorp, tying in 70 countries and $30 Billion daily in money transfers.
After returning to the United States, Claude chose the path of independence, becoming a business consultant and entrepreneur. He lived in New York, California, Nevada, Montana and settled in Florida for the last 20 years.
Claude had a heart for helping those in need. He started a nonprofit to help felons get a second chance and he continued his entrepreneurial work, helping to launch and support several businesses within the local community.
Claude will be remembered as a driven and brilliant man, possessing a sharp mind and a wonderfully quick wit. He had a natural curiosity about the world that stayed with him throughout his life, and a quiet determination along with his deep love of God, that guided him through every chapter.
He leaves behind a beautiful and lasting legacy through his loving wife, Donna; his three children: Mike (Gina), Jeff (Wendy) and Kathryn; four grandchildren: Jared, Emily, Jaclynn, and Tommy, of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Linda Smith Henry of Marcy, NY, and brother Michael D. Smith of Phoenix, AZ, along with the many friends and associates who became family.
We thank the Lord for the time we were blessed to share with him, and for the promise of being reunited again in eternity.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Family Funeral Care in Orlando, Florida.
