Doris Gracie May Fournier

Doris Gracie May Fournier, beloved wife, mother, and Memere, passed away July 23, 2023. She was 87 years old. Doris was born April 8, 1936, in Lincoln, RI. She married the love of her life, Ronald Fournier (Ron), on June 11, 1955. They were happily married for 67 years.

Doris was born and raised in Lincoln, RI, then moved to Cumberland, RI where she and Ron settled down and lovingly raised their family.

Doris and Ron loved to travel, and every year they would take their 3 children for vacations in Florida. Doris and Ron loved Florida so much that they moved to the Sunshine State in 1978.

Doris was a gifted cook and always made sure her family was well fed with the enjoyable meals she created. The house would be filled with exquisite aromas that only her home-cooking could produce.

Doris loved to read and would often be found curled up on her favorite reading chair with her cat soundly sleeping on her lap, engrossed in another romance or adventure story.

Doris always made sure the beds were made, the house was clean, the family was fed, and the laundry was fresh. She was such a wonderful homemaker, mother, and friend. Ron was a very lucky man to have her as his wife for 67 years.

Doris is survived by her three children, Rene, Denise, and David, along with 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Sadly, her beloved husband Ron preceded her in passing on Oct 16, 2022.

She has found forever peace alongside her husband in Heaven.
